Wow! I forgot I had a mindsay until they sent me an e-mail. Haha! Well since I haven't updated in awhile then I guess I should just talk about yesterday...
I can understand how a lot of people hate working at Target. But you know, it's starting to grow on me. Even though sometimes the schedule is screwy because they put in only three people on the sales floor but still expect you to finish your reshop, zoning, and CAFs' on the line while going up for backup cashiering, sometimes it's fun. You know, you're walking around with you walkie or PDT, and when a guest asks you for some help, most of the time you won't know the answer. But then it's fun to BS. And when you do know the answer, it's even more fun, cause' then you get to use your code and ask the backroom for some help.
"Hey backroom, can I get a location check please?" I'm starting to get the hang of that. Before I think they were rude to me (i.e. Ray always throwing the items on the floor or walking away saying, "There you go.") because I wasn't asking right. I used to say, "Hey backroom?" "Yes?" "Could you check to see if you have this item back there?" And at this point they already have their PDT out and they were just waiting for me to give them the DPCI number, so I guess here they start to get a little rude because they're annoyed.
So after work I was starving and knew I was going to be late for the GMU basketball game anyway, so I went home and stuffed myself. Was only half an hour late to GMU but found out they barricaded the entrance to where Trinh, Lillian, Viann, Gifty, and Alan were. I hung out in the news center cause' I couldn't really do anything, and Trinh joined me! With some cake! I was going to read "Greenmantle" for my English class but Trinh agreed that some people will probably want to beat me up for reading while the game was on. In the end the girls watched the rest of the game in the JC Cinema. We lost.
After separating from the others, I was talking to Trinh about the game on our way to the GMU Gala Dance Concert. I was like, "Gosh, it's only second quarter. How come everyone looks so unhappy?" And of course Trinh just gives me the "Are you insane?" look and was about to answer me but this other girl beat her to it. "College basketball doesn't have a third quarter. The game's over." And then she laughs about it with her friends, and I'm like, "...Thank you." Trinh was completely embarrassed and I had a feeling she wanted to shoot me. Or maybe she said something like that and I just forgot. ^^;; Nonetheless, I was pondering it during the entire Gala show.
So after the concert I wasn't tired and I wanted to do stuff so I was like, "Yeah, let's go play tennis!" Trinh was all up for it, but then I switched and said, "I'm hungry" instead. So we went to eat at Denny's (we're finally getting the hang of the area now! No more mapquest!) and just talked a lot. On the way, my car window on Trinh's side was like banging or making this weird noise and we both got so freaked out! I was like, "...Yeah, let's just turn up the volume and ignore that." But of course Trinh wouldn't listen to me because the mirror was on her side (haha, what a relief for me!). Eventually it stopped and we skeptically concluded that it was the wind. Anyway, he Moons Over My Hammys was so... good. But it had a lot of cheese in it. Haha, poor Trinh.
Anyway, dropped her off in the parking lot and went home. What a lovely evening. The End.
Oh wait, and let's not forget... "I'm not a table!"-Trinh
HEHEHE.
